Osteopathy

Initial Assessment and Treatment

Your first appointment allows us to understand your symptoms, assess the underlying cause of your symptom and begin treatment.

It includes a detailed discussion about your problem and medical history, a physical examination, diagnosis, hands-on treatment where appropriate, and personalised advice and exercises to support your recovery.

If we believe further investigation or referral is needed, we’ll explain your options and help guide you towards the most appropriate care.

Duration: 60 minutes

Your follow-up appointments allow us to build on the progress you’ve already made. As your symptoms change, we’ll adapt your treatment, progress your rehabilitation and help you return to the activities that matter most to you.

Treatment may include hands-on therapy, movement assessment, rehabilitation exercises and practical advice tailored to your recovery.

Duration: 40 minutes

Some patients benefit from more than a standard follow-up appointment.

Our extended treatment session gives your osteopath additional time to combine hands-on treatment with movement assessment, rehabilitation, exercise progression and practical advice where appropriate.

This appointment is particularly suitable if you:

  • have a complex or persistent problem
  • have pain affecting multiple areas
  • are returning to activity after injury or surgery
  • require more extensive rehabilitation
  • would benefit from additional coaching and exercise progression

Recommended by your osteopath where appropriate.

Duration: 60 minutes

Clinical rehabilitation

Initial functional assessment

This appointment is with Zac, who specialises in working with adults aged 40-60 years old who want to return to exercise after a break or due to recurrent injury. We’ll take your medical history and examine your joint movement before moving to our private gym to look at strength and conditioning exercises. We’ll give you advice and home or gym-based exercises to do between sessions to aid your recovery and get you back to doing what you love.

60-75 minutes / from £110.

Once you’ve had your first appointment, follow up rehab sessions last 60 minutes.

Our Cancellation Policy

At Nimble Osteopathy, appointment times are reserved exclusively for you. We understand that plans can sometimes change and, wherever possible, we will do our best to accommodate requests to rearrange appointments.

To help us offer timely appointments to all patients, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Late Cancellations and Missed Appointments

Appointments that are cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or appointments where you do not attend without notifying us, will normally be charged in full. Late cancellations and missed appointments often prevent us from offering that appointment to another patient who may be waiting for treatment. This policy helps us make the best use of our clinicians’ time and enables us to continue providing a highquality service for all patients.

How to Cancel or Rearrange an Appointment

If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please contact us as soon as possible. Telephone: 01275 750207 Email: hello@nimbleosteopathy.co.uk If the clinic is closed, please leave a voicemail or send us an email, and we will respond as soon as possible during our normal opening hours.
